After being in development for six years, the first ever standalone mod in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series has been released. Lost Alpha is a re-imagining of Shadow of Chernobyl, with the idea being to restore the atmosphere and cut levels seen in early concept art and teasers of the 2007 videogame.
This mod was able to be standalone thanks to a collaboration with the original developers of S.T.A.L.K.E.R; unfortunately for the modding team Dezowave, a commercial deal fell through after an earlier build was leaked by a beta tester. To be clear: You do not need to own, or have installed, Shadow of Chernobyl to play Lost Alpha.
